Always a wisee a$$ in every crowd!

Ron I was going to last year, got offered a free place to stay through a co-worker but cancelled at the last minute. Me and my buddy Banman were a bit burnt out from the Rotary Derby a few weeks earlier and decided to not go. This year we will be going.

Is that just for Sebago or is that a state wide Derby?

I fished it last year Tump. Did pretty well on the togue , couple 25 inchers. There are 2 big derbies in March. One is Sebago and the other is statewide.I believe togue and pike mostly. Very exciting getting bites on 13" bait. Hopefully will return.Mike

Thanks Mike

Did a little reading on it from the website. Could be an expensive weekend, with all the fees and lodging.

Could indeed be expensive.I do recommend a day trip there though. Derby winner (togue) looked like a big codfish.  ;D

i fished it last year, if the ice is good like last year and you can spread out and move around its a good derby. if the ice isnt good everyone is in the same places and its kinda rediculous to fish, people are setting traps between your traps etc. ive scouted it a few years, last year was the first i actually fished. hopeing for good ice again in the big bay this year like last

i believe the sebago entrance fee also covers you for the statewide a week later so you can spread some of the costs over more days if you fish both.my atv reg is thekicker, need it in mass, nh, me.

You would think they would look at ATV's and Snowmobiles like boats.......it would be better for tourism if they all just recipricated registrations!
