Title: trapping bait
Post by: JIGGIN- on Oct 03, 2009, 07:01 AM
Alittle late but today I'm setting my sucker traps out. Should of started a week or so ago. Gonna get wet, raining today but I'm sure the suckers don't care as they are already wet.

Checked traps last night, only 2 big suckers and both filled full of horn pout. I bet at least 100 anyways between 2 traps. Most were pretty decent size. Put all the horn pout back. Believe I had the traps too deep. Moved them into shallow water and will see what happens next time.

Checking shiner traps tonight.

Got a few shiners tonight and a ton of crayfish. Don't really care about the crayfish but they work for cusk.

Will check again in a few days.
