Just wondering where the best places are for walleye in the winter in Montana?

Thanks

Seriously dude, I highly doubt anyone is going to tell you where they're catching walleye.....Might as well be asking for their SSN !!

Not trying to be a jerk, but here's a suggestion since you have 4 posts. Head to the "Montana Fishing Reports & Conditions" section where you will find a 4 page list of lakes/reservoirs. Click on each thread & the 1st post should contain the species of fish in that body of water. Find the ones that hold walleye, read through the posts & choose the ones you may possibly be able to fish. You can also read through the "MT Fishing Reports Archives" where you may find some additional info. I'm afraid you're gonna have to do your homework & put some time in on the hardwater.

Stay safe & have a great season !!

To echo what others have said the best summer walleye lakes are also the best winter locations.  There are some smaller lakes that can be good but you will have to put in the research to find them.  When fishery's get blown blown up on the internet is can be crazy how much pressure can be put on a limited resource. Most of the central Montana reservoirs have them, figuring them out is the challenge.  Or you can just go Ft Peck ;)

cottonwood creek, if that doesn't work try rock creek  ;)  Plenty of cottonwood and rock creeks in the state  ;D

People all over the world I have found don't like to give out walleye spots. Sorry but I don't' think that is a Montana thing.

He gave him a hell of a lot more info than anyone else did.Start with your location GONEFISHIN,that will give everyone an idea of where your looking to fish.
