Wheelers/sleds sure but given the way the season has been I don’t really think it’s the year to take trucks out there. Maybe in a couple weeks if the cold pattern continues but this weekend I would be hesitant.

Anyone have ice thickness off of Browns? Near Snake Hill?

Flood, last time I checked was last weekend..6 inches everywhere I drilled.  I only walked halfway from Browns to SH though.  There were some fisherman over there though, both on the South side of SH and on the drop-off.  Good luck, hopefully if your season is ending, you have a great day out there first.
I'd rather be fishing...

Drilled a consistent 10” on north end today. Bite was very light for me. Dink perch and average seeds all went back to grow.

Fished Brown’s yesterday until 1pm. Ice was no less than 10” everywhere I drilled. Slow day, just 4 for our efforts. Machines of all sorts out and about.

Seems like the majority of people out weren’t chasing flags, until the wind picked up.

We’ll get em next time...

People all over, but most access from Brown's so the further away from there, the fewer people.

Tough bite today. Absolutely beautiful out though. Will try again tomorrow. Planning on fishing spots I never fished before. Get off beaten path a bit.

I was on south end of the hill yesterday    long walk but very safe    big crack  just south of the hill,  it looked scary but solid
fished off Fitch today and got nothing for my efforts but I do know that others are catchin  Just not my day

Thanks for the info. I wouldn’t be walking, that’s why I was curious on the ice conditions over there.

Always fun to learn new areas. Still fairly slow but managed some decent perch and a walleye. Snow is getting slushy on top of ice but that's it. Rain should melt off the rest of the snow in next couple days

Question Went off browns yesterday to north side of Snake Hill. Small pressure crack on South side going out, no problem. Comming back it looked like the crack opened up in one spot about 15 to 20 feet of open water. Did'nt go near it but was wondering if this is possiable.

This is quite possible especialy when the wind blows like it has been.  Take a look at the access off fitch rd  the wind has pushed the ice up into a pressure ridge on shore  over 2' high    ice moves all the time    your crack was probably only a few inches wide but looked big because pressure forced the water up on top making it look scary you did right....avoid it

Lots of ice  this weekend once you get one but the shore line might be at risk this week with warm temps. We had close to 10 inches of glare ice. Definitely need creepers.

Anyone know why airboats were on Saratoga today around 1 o’clock? I guess they picked two guys up but I don’t know if there’s more to the story.

Report on Facebook that two persons on a machine went through off Brown's Beach. They are out but their machine is not.

Further report on Facebook was they were on a side by side a couple of hundred yards off Snake Hill heading back towards Brown's when they went through.  An exact location was not given.

Glad they’re okay, going to be an expensive trip. Not sure I would have walked off brown’s today by the looks of the webcam
