TRICK (pimp) MY VEX

a few years back in the auto section clearance i found these LED stick on strip lighting. yep, just peel and stick strips. figured i would add them to the vex and for a little light and 10.00 why not try it.  well after 3 years its one of the best ice mods of any kind to any of my gear!!  they draw no amps, will light up about a 15' circle and have a 3 setting dimmer switch.  even if my vex dies from low voltage these lights are 100%.  it adds less than an ounce to the vex and is incredibly bright with either blue or white lights.  i like the blue at night as it makes my yellow line glow.  here are some pics and you can see the strips and in the upper left the dimmer switch that mounts to existing holes.

here is a couple night pics that really dont do it justice...but take a look.

like i said,
super bright, uses no amps and adds no weight and cheap!!! my strips are about 6 and 9 inches and came two to a pack.  i get a lot of comments on the lights when i am out so i thought id share
any other cool vex home brews???

Lol. But in all honesty you should get ahold of vex and run it past them and try to get it patented. Or even start your own vex/marcum cases with them built in.

FIGURED THEY HAVE LOOKED INTO IT AND BESIDES WITH THE LED KITS SO CHEAP AND READILY AVAILABLE THERE ISNT ENOUGH PROFIT IN IT FOR THEM.

Yous be surprised. Think about all the different knife sharpeners. Theres hundreds. But yet theybkeep coming out wity more and more. Gotta be optimistic. 😎😎

Very cool almost as cool as the flame throwing ice transport vehicle. I want to see that out on the ice.

Great idea. My whole shanty has led strip lights installed to help with the lighting. I took a lawnmower artery and it ran them brightly for two whole days. Never again worry about having enough light.  Love the leds
