2 lines in a flip hut for trout?
« on: Jan 21, 2024, 08:24 AM »
Well I’ve run two in my 2 man flip hut lots of times for crappie and perch without problem. Tried to do the same for splake in 20fow, not a good idea! Of course the trout went all squirrelly when I hooked him tangled up my second line so bad I had to cut and retire both lines. Brutal, braid has a tendency of get tangled in very creative ways. On a positive note did get some fish and Upr Rock has 7” of ice over 20fow.

Thanks bud…. I’m sitting here being an old man trying to get my arse of the couch, your post motivated me to get out there… lol. I get tangled lots when laker fishing in my flip up, is what it is I guess. I actually don’t like fishing crappie if there are two people side by side, I find if the crappie are finicky too much movement and activity messes up the fishing.
