Went out of apps yesterday.  Ice was solid on my trail out to 27fow.  Had 5" the holes i drilled.
Saw 1 sled drive out n back checking things out.

Fished out of Edgewater today with a buddy, seen quite a few guys out in front of the beach, only two cars at Edgewater. Fished 8-3:00 with nothing but pin pike and a few small perch ( two silvers mixed in ) . Ice  was all of 8" in 20 ft and 12" in 24ft, also had one Atv and one sled out there ...hope the snow doesn't kill whats there ....

Talked to a buddy that started his route plowing driveways at 2 am. He said the snow was coming over the hood of his truck as he drove down the road. Snow redevelops tomorrow night. Hope it's not much. Unreal guys

Well the 10-12" we got up here is heavy and a little icey - the wind ain't moving it - but then the lake will see significantly higher winds.  I "need" to get on Oneida this year, but!

funny story the snow here must of gotten a squirrel all messed up he ran in my shed and I found him on a fishing bucket .... scared the  heck out of me I jumped he jumped and we both ran out the door ......... between yesterday and last night well over a foot and a half  here

I posted this on the conditions page yesterday.

2/12/17 Fished out from Edge Water (North Bay) from 9:00-12:00,  Used my 4 Wheeler after fishing there yesterday and finding 8-10 inches of ice.  Caught mainly white perch, but did get a couple of good sized striped ones and a few usized walleye that were returned to the lake.

On Saturday I started by checking out Three Mile Bay. Parked at the car top boat launch and walk south.  Ice was not good there.  One hit with my spud and it went through when I had gone passed  the shallow water markers.  I did not fish at Three Mile at all.

Didn't seem like the wind today was as strong as forecasted. That snow we got was pretty heavy stuff. 3 hours shoveling today between the driveway and roof. I'm ready to kick back with a crown and ginger and watch the cuse game 🥃

Have any of you looked at the 15 day forecast for Cleveland/ Constantia ?

after this Friday, 10 days straight of  "non ice making/building " temps,  5 of those days with at least some rain showers.

I know it is only a forecast, and a lot of things can change... but ,,,,,

I know it is only a forecast, and a lot of things can change... but ,,,,,

My family has a house in Constantia. I have pretty much given up the idea of fishing my spots this year. I would be surprised if it is safe this year. Last time I was up, the spud went through on 1 hit with little effort.

Well we had 2 back to back years of of late ice then last year ice not so good and worse this year , can't be all peaches and cream every year 🤗

I am with you on that Fred....but it would be really nice to spend just a week or two with full gear on 10 " ice, out on the mid lake shoals.
We still have time for that , but it is looking tough right now.

Im still looking at open water every day out my window theres at least two areas that are open this yr is a bust and I know the area of chapman and the shoals arnt going to be safe unless we get a big 6day artic blast

I fished Lewis point today, there was alot of ice heaves off the point. A few sleds and wheelers out.  I did not find any bad spots, but I am sure they are there.  Ice was varied between 6 and 10 inches. I did not do well as usual when I fish Oneida. Just can't get anything to take. There were quite a few lookers on the sonar. Around me there were a few perch and small eyes taken. We were in 25fow. The drag was a heart attack waiting to happen.......

Thanks for that info oneida 1.... I just hope the  fishable ice people have been on can hold up for awhile.
