Canadian Pike fishing trip
« on: Jul 15, 2014, 08:04 AM »
I am looking to take my father on a Pike/Walleye fishing trip next year in Quebec or Ontario.  Could anyone offer any advice on where to go?  I haven't been to Canada since I was a kid, but have great memories of the trips we used to take.  It will be sometime after the ice is out.  Any suggestions/recommendations would be appreciated.  I am going to post this in myfishfinder also.  Thanks FF

I have been to this outfitter three times, twice for bear hunt/fishing trips and once for only fishing. I loved it there and the catching was decent.

Do you want a drive to or remote destination?
If you want remote I can definitely recommend Beteau Lake on The Attawapiskat River.
If you want lots of big pike and great walleye fishing it is an awesome spot.
Pricing is quite reasonable too.

Check em out and give Eddie a call. ;)

Geez that's a tough one .... Well I don't know much about southern Ontario but narrowing down camps/lodges in Northwestern Ontario is vary hard to do and the price ranges from 50 bucks a night (housekeeping plan) to several hundred a night (all inclusive).  There's a butt load of options around Lake of the Woods of all sizes and shapes and as far as all around fisheries go you'd be hard pressed to find better.  Totem Lodge and Tomahawk resort near Sioux Narrows are ones that comes to mind but there are dozens and dozens more.  I'll be heading to Minaki, Ontario again this August to pound Musky and Walleye and there are a handful of places around there and the fishing is top notch.  There's also Caribou Lodge, places on Lac Seul, Nipigon... and about a billion more.

I have been to Pine Portage Lodge about a dozen times.  Great lake, great people, great accommodations.

My buddies go to this outfit and seem to love it as well.
That's some tasty iced tea.
