The wide one is a nice well built portable.
Two years ago I was at the Kittery trading post and they had a floor model for 250 on clearance  so I snatched it up and have been very happy with it.

;D  Have a friend who just bought one.  I'm sure I won't have any trouble locating him on the lake!

I have one and love it.. as opposed the the Shappel I had and hated from day 1.. I'm going on my third season and it is as good as new.. easy to set up.. easy/fast to take down... I've towed it all over  with my wheeler..had it in wind and snow .. the windows are removable so if you cook inside the steam can get out... but when I cook I put it in wind breaker mode so I don't get the inside wet...IF .. I had one complaint.. it might be that this unit is not light... it's fairly heavy.. but if you opted not to mount the seat you'd shave 20lbs off of it..BTW.. that seat is comfortable beyond words... then again ...IM 5' 0 and weigh 150.. a larger individual might find it not as comfortable..

Just ordered one. I was going to order it from Eskimo for $349 but they were charging $116 for shipping so I looked around and found it in the Sportsman Guide for $341 with $20 shipping. Can’t wait to get it.

I've bought a lot of stuff from sportsman guide... they have just about anything you could want.

congrats on the purchase..I'm sure you will like it... I added the protective runners to the sled...I highly recommend it if you are going to be dragging it on any hard surfaces besides ice...I use  6 anchors... 2 in the front... 2 at the back of the sled near the seat and 2 more across the door opening...having the attachment for the Ion to screw them in makes setting them and retrieving them a snap.. the front ones keep the entry way from moving around and possibly bending the. extension poles.. I also bought the cover for it because I tow with a wheeler.. but even on foot on a rainy or snowy day it can keep gear dry ( and from blowing away) during transport ... I made a rocket launcher set up that attaches ( slips on and off) for my tip ups and jigging rod .. it allows versatility and storage..

Took it on its maiden voyage today. Very pleased with it. It was -7 out when I got to the lake. Set it up and just my body heat kept the hole from freezing.

A bunch of perch, a pickerel, and a rainbow.
Also had the resident Bald Eagle do a fly by.

Very nice WMF.   I’m looking into a one man flip over ( I have a two man ) and I like the looks of the Eskimo.  I’m gonna have to take a ride and see if KTP has one set up.. what are your thoughts on it’s maiden voyage ?

Looks like a great shack. I personally like a bigger portable. They are all very light weight and fit into a standard 5' sled.

It was nice. -7 degrees when I hit the ice and my body heat kept me warm. I have the insulated one but the weight is still manageable. I can get it and out of my truck by myself.
