Blanchard Lake Ice Report...

I went to Blanchard lake 2 days ago and drilled test holes.  Walked from the boat lauch through the cut all the way to the main lake.  Found Ice thickness 5"-7".  It was thicker on the main lake than in the arm.  Nice clear ice also not snow ice.

Amazing how fast the lakes in the area have frozen this week. Last Sunday I started to walk out from the boat ramp and there was slush!
Beaver lake was open Sunday now has 4-5" inches.

Was out there today. 8 inches of ice everywhere I drilled. Nice day out, though not much for catching. Only one hammer handle pike. Maybe I was playing with the new LX-5 too much.

Neptune... I know someone who is going to get me in touch with a home owner on the lBlanchard to be able to fish at night... I'll let you know if it happens...
