What is the best way to sharpen blades?  Does anyone know if this product works good or not? http://www.accusharp.com/

Thanks

I bought one of the hand sharpeners from Sportsmans last year for my 8in. hand auger and it works decent, better then buying new blades. It works you just have to put an edge on it every couple of holes.

I use a small disc sander and my angle checker. Seems to work good but I have also just grinded them and it still worked good.

If you're in Great Falls bring your auger here. Pretty much the only guy in town.  Only charged me $6, and they are extremely sharp.

I just called the guy and he wasn't sure about the jiffy blades.  I will take some by his shop to find out.

Jiffy wants around $8.00 for shipping them back to me after I paid to ship them out.  They will sharpen them once for free.

I just went over to his shop with my blades.  He can do them (Jiffy STX) and I think very well.  It will well be worth the $6.00 to get em done.  Also he said that he would take some nice perch or a couple of Walleye in exchange.  Sounds good to me.

I just use a whetstone and oil.  It takes forever to get a good edge.  You have to be precise on your angle.  I can never get it as good as new.  I can get it just as sharp, but the edge doesn't seem to last as long.
