Well over the last week in NW Montana the ice has started to exit rapidly. Whitefish lake still has a huge piece of ice on it although you can get from the south end to the north end unobstructed now. Many of the deep smaller lakes like Bitterroot still are frozen solid, but you won't catch me on that ice!
