forecast is looking good. hopefully we'll have ice on small ponds by early-mid december. I'm pretty much ready to go, I just need some bait. I'm probably gunna trap my own, but just in case, does anyone know what bait shops have live bait right now? This time of year many bait shops tend to have no shiners for some reason

Dicks will have some. If we have good ice he loads up. Just wear a gas mask when you go inside because the smell is a little tough these days.  but the bait is good! Got on the ice Dec 14th last year hoping to get the same date this season give or take!

thanks man. I understand about the smell in there lol I been there before. That place is pretty crowded with stuff inside too haha. I stopped by a small half acre pond that has bass and sunnies in it this morning and it was skimmed over  thats a start

I loved waking up this AM to the heating roaring the the puddles frozen on the ground.  Time to review my gear and get things ready

Same here. got me pumped. 3 more days of cold but then warm again  won't be long
