Do I need an ice ducer?
« on: Jan 29, 2016, 08:49 AM »
I have an eagle 168 I made a platform for, I was wondering if I'll need a different transducer for it? It has the skimmer on it now and I rigged it to an old tip up to get it reading but I'm not sure if it's working correctly, do they make an ice transducer for this model? Thanks

There are various rigs posted here and elsewhere on how to 'Red Green' a reg Xducer into 1 for the ice. Some are as simple as looping the cord and tying it to the heel of the xducer.
Keep yer stick on the ice!

if you can see what you want to see, it's working.
ice ducers are narrower beam cone angles for ice and made to hang in water.

it may get interference from other sonars.

say high to arlo for me!
