Another mess

Got another good mess of gills this afternoon and watch the ice I was on melt fast!  Some of it won't hold you up tomorrow.  Heard there was a 40"+ northern caught on Big Turkey today.  Hopefully someone will post a picture somewhere.

Way to get out , I can only imagine how the ice will be tomorrow let alone how it was today from what ive heard . It was pretty warm hear in wheatfield this afternoon. And I would love to see that pike as well .

Looks like we might get one more run at the sketchy stuff at the end of the week.  Seems like this happens every year, I swear I'm done and then we get 2 nights in the teens.  :-\

I made it out again yesterday evening! Ice was shakey at best, but the fish bit better today. Had to work them but I ended up with 25 pretty decent gills and only had one small one that I threw back. They wanted to hit the bait on the drop, so when the line went slack, set the hook. If that was my last outing, it was a good one. Here's a picture of the mess. Hex
