Really cool but I think I'll pass on it. I thought you were talking about a hoop net like this one we used in the DNR.

Your trap would be really hard on the fish banging them around.



I live in the midwest now but have fond memories of fishing in New England as a kid.

lol no.  there is no reason for a trap like that to be at this end of the state.  commercial fishing illegal up here. i just used it for private pond bait fishing.

you could make one of those kinds easily though Cecil.

When I worked for the INDNR we used the hoop nets to sample fish.

Yes I can make one, but I think I'll stick with the 12 foot deep seine that goes all the way accross the pond. I'm considering purchasing an electroshocker and boat to periodically harvest my fish. Not cheap but considering renting it out to a friend that manages ponds
