weather winter finds us finaly!!!

ice  forming fast here got ponds with 2" on but wind messing it up for the lakes until tonight.Ready to start fishing think I will be out friday or saturday night here in southern iowa. Iwill give you report soon I hope.    Need to learn how to post pictures so I can send some of them jumbo perch pictures Cant wait!!!!

ya its finally here might need power augers by weekend  been working outside all day and i think i can hear the lakes poping wat agreat sound

Looks like some good ice around here but the edges are shot!! Gonna try drillin again this morning, see if i cant get a little further out.

ripNlips you talking around your place? I checked beaver lake yesterday and it was still sketchy.  But did fish a farm pond just north of there on Sunday

Checked beaver yesterday too, i could bust through with 1 good stomp around the edges. checked gendlers a min ago, was by myself so didnt go too far, but looked like 4-5"

Checked beaver again today.  Looks good, someone had been out there already.  Bout 4 inches off of the dock.  Fished a little farm pond just north this evening with plenty good ice but no takers.

4"is safe unless your ona 800# atvLOL Thats thick ice this year i have been very thin ice this year it keepes you on yourtoes good luck be safe

SHaved the beard off back in mid december as a sacrafice to the fish gods in exchange for some colder weather! Didnt work, now its grown back just in time!!

Yep me too! Have you zipped it up in your coat zipper yet?  LOL  I just put a coat of primer paint on my old van and man that paint worked its way up in the beard.
