« on: Mar 09, 2013, 07:42 PM »
I was looking to get out tomorrow morning if anybody knows of some safe ice. I'm gonna check my trout jiggin spot but the ice was getting thin last week. Anybody know any ice conditions around? Rohunta? . . . maybe

thx, any help is appreciated. I would love to get out one more time

Cranberry pond has ok ice but the trout were not biting, first time this year.  I have a freezer full of trout and I am going to build a smoker. Jigged up 12" pickerel and released him so he can grow up. Anyway it should be good for a few days at the higher temps.

Then I went to rohunta - still has over 12" of solid ice but it was super slow. Bagged 3 10" blue gill and nothing else. Not a bite more. Should be a tasty lunch though.

Those spots are still good . . .
