Dakins Lake - Zearing

Good ice. Timber has been packed in good weather and ice is a bit swiss-cheesed.  All that pressure has slowed the bite.

Drove up there Saturday and turned around and headed to Hickory Grove. Dakins was packed and I didn't feel like fighting for a spot. Probably 40 people out there. Hickory Grove was a different story. Maybe 10 people total. I caught half a dozen 8" gills over brush. Water clarity was great. Fish were finicky.

2 guys fished Dakins this afternoon.  Very slow. Only caught one keeper.

the last two weeks have been good. This warm weather coming has me concerned. Went Saturday and got into good Gills and Crappie.
