little girl names
« on: Jan 11, 2012, 10:22 AM »
Well fellow sportsman i need a little help. I know its a bit off topic in the heart of ice fishing season (the ice is thin anyways) my wife and i need some ideas for outdoorsy girl names. We bolth love to hunt and fish and well we were hoping for a boy for our first one lol. I have ran a few by the wife but shes not thrilled with any of them. Few i came up with are Stormy, Lilly, Olive, Chassie, and the only one that the wife even considered to my supprise was Benellie (possible change of spelling on that one) Just wondering if anyone else had any ideas? If she is anything like her parrents we wont be able to keep her off the ice, a horse, or out of a goose blind. ( at least i hope so anyways ) Thanks for any replies in advance!

kewl topic....girls name was a tough one for us too. Went with;

Violet Meadow

Violet was the wifes great gram's name & Meadow seemed to fit well.

Best of luck with your bundle of joy.

You could go with one of the obvious:

Spring...Summer...Autu mn...Winter (Winnie for short)

Good keep em coming guys! We want something a little different but not so different that she hates her name. We think Benellie is a bit borderline. If we had a boy he was going to be Drake lol there needs to be more cool names for ice fishing things. Tip up and auger are not great names for children.

I like Lilly too. How about Sierra or a native name like Shawnee. I wanted to name or second boy Neka its Souix for wild goose. That got shot down just like a wild goose, but I still like it. Rosilynn or Aurora and call her Rosie... Congrats by the way!

I would remember one thing,whatever you choose,the child will be an adult one day,what is cute and fitting now may not be later.A family not far from us had a beautiful baby girl.Seemed appropriate to name her Bambi Fawn,after all she was born on our first day of doe season.Now that she is in high school ,all anyone can think of is....Porn Star.(just my opinion)congrats,nothing like kids ;D

Oldest daughter...Erin Acacia  (acacia is a type of tree that Christ's crown was made from).  Acacia means new life.
middle child Boy   Paul Forrest
Youngest Daughter ... Hunter Rene... Many Hunter boys out there but not many girls. I gave my wife the option of Hunter, Fisher, or Trapper.

Timely topic for me.  Today is the wife's due-date, and our new little girl should be with us soon (hopefully).  Lillian (Lily for short) is at the top of our list.  Violet and Willow are up there as well.  Have also thought about Brook, Isla, Skylar, Lilac (Lila), Iris.  Keep 'em coming guys we could use a couple more for the short list.

I think Willow is a really good one.  I have a friend who has a sister named Montana, they call her Tana for short.

Naming a kid Benelli or Beretta would be like naming them "Lexus" or "Mercedes" it's too corny.

Beau or Bo Hunter. Someone in your family needs to be since your bow is just for looks. Or Citori. Can't promise i wouldn't call her Clitori though.
