Title: What does your barometer read
Post by: AKBob on Dec 12, 2008, 03:38 PM
I was just looking at the barometer and it is at 30.7, it doesn’t get too much higher then that. If I remember right back in 1986 they stopped the planes from flying in Alaska because of the high-pressure front that came in raising the barometer above 32 milbrs, they were not able to correct they're altimeters because of the high pressure.
So much for the fishing for the next few days.

THat's interesting!  I don't know if it was high yesterday, but the fishing was mighty slow....

Don't know about the barometer, but I landed one pike today.  Not great, but it beats work.  I'm not going to let it ruin my weekend, but it's a good cover for my occasionally poor fish catching skills.
