Iceshanty.com Ice Map 06-07

This worked out pretty well last year. Please make good use of this map.

Please add the following information in your shout out.
Lake or Area name.
Ice thickness.
Date of your observation.
Conditions of ice and snow.


Do not add a pin until you have safe ice.


Click here if --> Ice map won't load.





Keep in mind you can edit your pin at anytime and update your areas ice info with current information.

Man I am soooooo close to putting a pin up! I have 2" of solid ice at the lake where the river goes out (backed up, dead calm). Another couple weeks of this and I'll be on the solid stuff!!!!

I am going to try to attach a map from the NOAA website that I use for work.  It tracks Snow / Ice for North America.  There are two images, the first from October 29th and the second from November 1st.  The snow and ice is on its way.  If people are interested I can try to post one image a week, I will be using them anyway.




New to ice fishing, but stuck with no ice!

I was looking for it this morning and I found it by going to the NOAA website and in the search box type Snow and Ice chart.

too bad NOAA don't have a waterfowl migration map like that, I would love that!
