Upper and Lower Twin Lakes for Whitefish?
« on: Jan 05, 2024, 04:46 PM »
Been going out to Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin ( I'm a Statey but live practically on the border in Lewiston, NY) for Whitefish for past 4 years( so i'm well versed on dropper rigs, the Meegs jig, etc). Ice is gonna be seriously sketchy this year even there though. I have entertained icefishing Simcoe, it's not far BUT I have gotten the sense , maybe incorrectly, that the Whitey bite on Simcoe is inconsistent and tough for those not versed in it's idiosyncrasies' . Anyway, I am trying to compare venturing to Simcoe (close but ?s exist in my mind) with Upper and Lower Twin Lakes ( further and not much online about it. I'm a parttime charter captain/guide on Niagara River, Lake Erie, Lake Ontario and Finger Lakes (Hudson river and Long Island Sound too for that matter) -willing to trade trips for solid one on one info and practical advice. Whatcha got and Thanks, very much
