what is a keeper burbot?

I'm new to fishing waters with burbot.  Just wondering if and when i get into them what is a good keeper size?

Any one big enough to get meat off of in my book. Once they get a pound, pound and a half you can get a good amount of meat off of them.

i havent caught any less than about 3 pounds so about 3 pounds i guess

A good 3-6lbs unless your hungry. There's not much meat on a 3 pound burbot but there's enough
if thats all you catch. I usually catch burbot by accident when fishing for walleye or perch near dusk
there usually 4 pounds and up but if there less then 4lb i throw them back and let them grow for a couple years. There's 2 narrow peices of meat on a burbots back and the rest is basically skin and guts, some people
eat the burbots large liver but i havent tried it so i dunno.

don't eat the liver, tried it once  :sick: its so nasty nothing will get the tase out of your mouth the whole evening not to mention the texture.
