Not sure where you're coming from. I plan on hitting Tawas Bay Saturday. Can't give a solid report until I am out there. Last weekend there was still good ice... 20"-23.5" where I drilled.

 I have never seen the amount of ice we had go so fast. My son was here today and dropped off some walleyes. They were fishing Fife Lake started on Mon. Tue he said there was 6 inches of solid ice under 4 inches of slush. Tue there was  inches of slush and 4 inches of questionable ice. Wed they had minnows left so they were going to go one last time. They walked on the ice where they had been, his buddy dropped the spud in went thru on its own weight. He said it was just slush floating on top of the water. Needless to say they did not go
