Good flies for Ice
« on: Jun 09, 2018, 11:48 PM »
I recently unpacked my little Renzetti Traveler Vise and unboxed all my hooks, necks and other materials after spending 6 years in a storage bin.  It was nice to get started filling my fly boxes.  Long story but I'm happy to be fishing with my own flies again.

Was wondering if any of you (guys especially in the RM west) would mind sharing a pattern or two.  Specifically for Bows, Cuts, Brownies and a huge bonus would be Macs.  I'm not a snob. I really love dunking bait for Perch, Pike and Eyes because I grew up enjoying tavern fish fries but where I now reside the Salmonoids are King.  This is mostly C&R.

Hope you are all having a great summer season!

Not specifically what you asked for (and maybe you've already ducked in here) but there's plenty here to look at:

The thread started back in '07 but because of Photobuckets' greed many early pics were lost/removed. Really good stuff with a range of skills and an even wider range of ideas from painted, solder wrapped hooks to beautiful scud imitators that should be in a museum. They all catch fish...

I know there's a few other thread in the Jigging/Jig making forum. Got all summer to stock up!
To fish or not to fish? That's a stupid question!
