headed to keene/westmoreland for the week...you like oysters??

spending winter school break feb. 16-22 with my son  on a friends farm in westmoreland.  going to do some ice fishing. would love some tips/ local knowledge.  bringing up a bushel of fresh cape cod oysters.   dozens could be your maybe more.  Our wish list...a pike, lake trout or one of those  creepy cusks, but we really just wanna catch some nice fish.  just found this site so i'm throwing this out there.  also ive been a commercial fisherman/ guide on the cape for 25 years, as well as a motel owner.  my friend live in nh but he cant find his ass with both hands, so I giving this a try.  thanks matt

Welcome if you are looking to chase flags and have a good time I would punch a few holes in Lake Warren. Its relatively close to where you are staying in Westmoreland. Its mainly warm water fish ( Bass, Perch, Pickeral, etc.. ) with a few stocked trout thats if your friend can find his ass lol. Good luck to ya

I live in Westmoreland. I primarily target Lakers, I will be going out Sunday if you are interested in tagging along. There are good Pike very, very close to town.

haha ya spofford lake does just the lake association wont let us Ice Fish it because its a " Trophy Trout Lake"

LOL Ive seen some out there looking like they are jigging as well but The Green Hornet or Goblin shows up they in for it. Loss of fishing privileges for who knows how long aint worth it.

Never fished it Wayne, but do know the Lake Association has enough money and or influence that you can't ice fish it!   :nono: :callcops:
