Which species?
« on: Nov 02, 2019, 03:11 PM »
First an ice report. Went to a little pond in town to try and get on some early ice but not yet. Skim ice over most with prolly a 1/2” in a back bay. But I broke out around the bridge and put the vex in for a bit anyways. Got 6-7 nice rainbows and then this fish. It says rainbows and cutthroat are stocked but I was thinking it’s a brook.

And just to get the blood pumping for the upcoming season.

Definitely a Brown. A Brook Trout would a have a “worm pattern” on its back. Thanks for the early fish porn!
