« on: Dec 25, 2012, 05:39 PM »
I'm thinking BC that's a cold part of the state I'm thinking I might go there on Saturday?  Also anybody know how glen lake looks and how Woodbridge looks as we'll?

I drive by Dewey's Pond every week. It has been skimmed over twice now and lost the ice. I am hoping to be able to fish it new year's day. I hope the heavy snow doesn't slow down the process anymore than the warm days and rain. I think it will be a couple more weeks and no more than that. As soon as I see the first person out I always start off my year on Dewey's. I'll post when I see someone fishing out there.

Hopefully Dewey will be good to go this Saturday, big pike and bass in there but I've never dishes it yet so I'm eager to get out there!

I didn't fish it last year because I heard Irene caused issues with it but heard from some guys towards the end of the season they were catching fish again. I heard that there might be a good bunch of White Perch in there now which I never caught any there before. I'm hoping to be there on Sunday.

I'm hoping to be fishing there on Saturday as long as there's not too much snow

Please let me know how you guys make out if you go to Deweys on Saturday.  From CT and am planning on making the drive up early Sun. morning. It would suck if I got there to find unsafe ice... Thanks.

Deweys wasn't completely frozen on Wednesday morning. Looked like there was an open spot out by the island when I drove by. On the side of the island closest to the river. I will be going by tomorrow am and will let you know what it looks like.

I thought Irene did a number on Deweys?

More structure , as there are stumps sticking up everywhere , looks shallower

Catching big fish is like winning the door prize!
Have to be there to win!!!!

Last winter I went with my dad. We caught some smallmouths that had to be thrown back and someone nearby caught a northern.

NW37 - I'm from Waterford, the southeast corner where ponds rarely freeze!
