Have a 5" Lazer (Made in Sweden) and a 4" Finbore III also made in Sweden. The 4" Finbore actually cuts a 4.5" hole and the 5" Lazer cuts a 5" hole. Both augers cut very well.

Just bought a 4" Lazer for good price used. I am using this for a back-up for my
Lazer mag-xpress 7" which the rope broke on my first outing this year. :'( Had it
fixed same day while I waited for $20.00 this included new gasket for gas cap. I
thought it was a fair price. Anyways I now how an insurance policy so to speak.

Unfortunately not all of they're augers are made in Sweden.

Have a 4" Laser for panfishing without a flasher. The 4" really cuts like a hot knife and the blades last forever. I'm happy with the 4 untill a pike crashes the party!

I use either the 4" or 5" Lazer. I have two 5" because more people want to borrow that one.

That's a fair price.... You could try ebay for a better deal. I just got a 8" lazer used to drill 5 holes for 63.50 on ebay.

5" Strikemaster.  Lite and fast.  Sometimes Ill take it instead on the gas auger.  Bought it years ago, haven't sharpened the blades, and it still cuts great.

I own a 7" Lazer Mag X-press, 4" Hand Lazer, and hope to own a 5" Lazer. My Gander Mountain only had the 7" lazers left.

My new ice Partner has a 6" fin bore with offset handles.  It cuts with the same effort as my 4" lazer. I was impressed.

The only thing that would scare me about those is the availability of parts and blades. You guys live where a
large percent of the population icefishes. Here NE Indiana they stock mainly Stikemaster hand equipment and
Jiffy and Strikemaster power augers. It's a difference of location and ice season. I was mad that Gander Mtn.
started putting their stuff away already for open water season. We have at least a month of ice fishing left.
Are you kidding me! Plus where I live Gander is the only chain store to carry ice equipment. We have 2 Dick's
Sporting goods but as the name says they don't have it!

20 years ago mora was the mass produced hand auger.  When you changed blades there were shims and even sharpened you may have problems.  This adapter puts curved Strikemaster lazer blades on the old mora auger.

I meant the Fin Bore not the adapter. Cause everything I heard about the Fin Bore has been good. Just not
something you can go anywhere to buy. Does that make sense?

Yes it does.  Most of us probably are the same.  I'll check out the item in the more expensive shop, find it cheaper on line, and buy it there.  The local shop get my business for the smaller stuff that is not mail-ordering.
