Theres alot more to it than that. The additive package can make or break a oil.

Amsoil Saber, no smoke and your auger will run better. Those who think oil is oil need to rethink your thinking. I was there once myself and there is a difference.

My auger has been run 15 years on plain dino oil. To say you need synthetic is foolish, in my opinion... I think proper auger maintenance is the most important. Run it at the correct ratio, do not run ethanol based fuels, summerize properly.  Royal purple is a good name. I think it's even more expensive than Amsoil saber though.

If you want, go for the top of the line "Saber"
If you're comfortable mixing super lean, then you'll get a lottttt of gas out of one quart. I am too nervous to mix beyond 50:1  so I think that works out to be 12 gallons of gas. $10 for a quart

non ethanol fuels are getting very hard to find in my area. So I have no choice but to run ethanol. I use marine stabil which works well.  carbs clean as a whistle and rubber lines look good.

I run Opti2 at the oil manufacturers recomended ratio of 75:1.
It also has Optomizer fuel stabilizer added to stabilize your fuel for storage. No need to add other stabilizers.
I also run Opti2 injector oil in my boat. A little on the spendy side but my engine runs sooooooooo much better than on Dino oil.   8)

I agree i use the royal purple for two years now and the auger seems to start easier in the freezing cold even left out all night and no smoke. I do add a little bit of k100mg to stop the phase separation in the fuel.
