Little River?
« on: Jan 18, 2021, 05:29 PM »
Hello fellow fisherman,

I've fished little river since the renovation and 5-5 years ago, it was the place to have fun catching eater walleyes.  But my last few trips back to my usual haunts have turned up little to nothing.  Question, is anyone else noticing this trend on the lake?  Latest DNR Survey showed low numbers and I have to believe it.  Anyone fish it, give me your thoughts, not looking for hot spots, just overall opinion of the lake in the last two years.

Cheers!

Walleyes are a lot harder tp come by then they use to be, personally I think due to fishing pressure which happens a lot in our Iowa lakes. Some of that pressure should be taken away with a few other southern lakes on the rise and producing like LR use too.

How has the ice been?
God gave men two heads but only enough blood to run one at a time

Haven't been down there yet this year.  I would assume upper end would be good by now.  I think maybe the gills / bass populations have taken off in that lake providing a lot of forge food for the Walleyes.  We still catch a few, but not like we used to for sure.
