I had the same problem, so I called the company and they told me to clean out the the gas line with a q-tip and now it works fine.

Probably has cob-webs or a dobber has nested in it.

When I bought my Lil Buddy heater, the guy at the bait shop told me to keep the connector, where the tank screws in, covered during the off season because little spiders like to get in there and plug it with webs.

I have the Mr.Heater cooker/heater and it won't light either. I thought it might be the thermocouple but how often do they go bad? And is it necessary to replace it with the exact same size that was in it originally?  Lou

Try blowing the orifices (pilot light and cylinder attachment) with compressed air.

Just a thought but if you're holding it on you lap trying to light it cause you've got so many clothes on you can't bend over or a belly like mine it will go out when turned to run.  It has a hair trigger on the tip over shut off and should be flat on the floor.  Sometime even moving it is tricky.

Indiana_Lou,
The tell-tale sight of a bad TC is that you need to keep the pilot button on for it to stay lit.  A TC is designed to open the gas when it is warm.  It shuts off gas when cold to prevent gas from leaking.  A bad TC will keep gas line closed; therefore the only way to keep it lit is to depress the pilot all the time.
TC's are not all the same.  I tried one from a hardware store; but the threads were different.

Hope this helps....

just call the company, of where it was manuf- and asked them, by email, or internet, or if neither, call them, they should have a telephone number. ;D

Mud dauber, it's a type of wasp or hornet that makes a nest out of mud.  They tend to build in small holes and cracks that they find.
