Rain damage to ice
« on: Dec 26, 2020, 04:51 AM »
Somewhere will still have ice. I think. However, it is still muzzy season. If ice survived, it will firm up and grow for the next 2 days in nw.
If you can't play nice, get off the ice!

They drained a massive amount of water out of Lillinonah on Christmas Eve during the day.

Ditto on the melt for next Thursday and Friday. Highs in the 50’s and over an inch of rain.
SLOW start to the CT ice season.  :-\

Mansfield Hollow was overtopping Bassetts Bridge Road yesterday.

Not going to be any ice setting up in there anytime soon.

It’s hard here in NH as well. Just can’t seem to catch a break. I’m trying to be positive but and hoping for a late spring.

It seems like we get a good weeks cold snap and then this 50ish day with wind and it’s just killing everything from being locked
Be well and DO Good Work!

I went to a TINY private pond that I have access to in Goshen. Not completely covered with ice. In multiple spots around edge barely 1/2” of ice.
I second the “slow start in CT again this year”.

Mt Tom was locked and as of this afternoon was wide open.  Headed to the daks for a few days of ice.  There's some ice in mass but not a ton.
