Your welcome glad i could help you out GOOD LUCK on the JIGGING

Congrats! Too often the jigging rod is underrated. Just yesterday on lake George Will and I out fished dozens of guys fishing tip-ups, only jigging.
Keep it up and you will find it the most fun and often (but not always) the most productive way to fish!

I have always fished shiners. i had trapped/caught over 30 dz shiners before the ice came. I have them in a tank out doors. have only lost 3. used less than 3 dz but fished more this winter than I have ever fished before. I started jigging last year with limited luck. this year, i jigged all of time and have been having a ball doing it. catchng lots of fish. Next year, i'll be catching fewer shiners

Congrats! In my opinion and with past experience, jigging will out perform the tip ups 85% of the time. however, whats on the end of your jigging line also matters.
