One of the Swedish companies says it sells them for 5599 kr (Swedish Krona) and 1 kr = .10 U.S. dollar. I used an online conversion table and came up with $577. Maybe I did something wrong. Dunno 🤔

Yup...did something wrong. Looks like maybe $45? That's better. 😉

I think you were right the first time. 1 Us dollar = 9.70 kronas So 5599 divided by 9.70 =$577 Dollars.

Interesting - it looks like there is a hole between the blades to put a centering point.

The 6" (160mm) SM lazer lite synthetic hand drill has one as well.  I added a centering point to one of mine. It doesn't really need it IMO.

Mora? I thought Johnson Outdoors was the parent company of Strikemaster.

I believe Strikemaster buys all their augers from Mora (Finland).
Last years Mora catalog had the Bee and the Mora-Ultra-Lite as regular items.
The Ultra came with a offset handle. See one in the for-sale section.

Strikemaster and Mora are both owned by Rapala VMC.

Few years ago a friend bought a Mora auger that had Rapala VMC (made in China) blades. 👎 They’re available for 50 cents +  shipping.

Before Strikemaster was sold off, the original company switched to Chinese blades.

From my understanding, to make them feesible on their newly aquired product, VMC was forced to buy Mora shortly after.

Not available in the US that I can find, but you can get it shipped from Europe for about $150. If I could justify another auger, this would be top of my list.
