Yukon Add-ons
« on: Dec 12, 2009, 05:30 PM »
OK, so I'm really sick and tired off all my rods getting tangled up in the bottom of my Yukons sled. I'm spending more time untangling lines than I am fishing :%$#!:  So this is what I came up with, I won't give it the thumbs up until it's hit the hard stuff a few times

This is it mounted on the inside of the sled behind the seats

I hope it works, it holds four rods ;D

And here is the Ice Anchor I made last season that works GREAT !!!!!!!!!!

Great for those windy days

In the 3rd pic from the top the rod in the top holder looks as though the line is going to rub on the cut edge of the slot you cut in the tube. Small diameter line might get rubbed through. But your definately on to something. Keep us posted.

The edges are rounded over but still may need some tubing around the edges. Trial and error

Nice work. How did you slot the tubes? I'll post pics of my Clam Nanook when I get it done.

I made a template up and after the pvc was cut and riveted together I routered the notches. I actually had to go back and make a cut  so the line at the reel wasn't jammed between the reel and pvc.
