Anyone think Tobyhanna or gouldsboro will be good to go Saturday can or Sunday?

I'm betting they will be, but make sure you spud your way in and drill a test hole before you get too far out. Both lakes are pretty shallow, so I think they will ice up before the weekend.

if they aren't safe then I'm figuring most all other choices would be off the table. But I would give them an honest try. You could try Brady's, but it's deeper and wouldn't freeze any faster than Tobyhanna.

Im going to tobyhanna saturday mourning I hope the ice is safe. If not im driving north till I find some good ice I got all day!

I hit Promised land yesterday. The road to the point was blocked but I went down anyway

. I wasn't plannin on camping

Ice was at 3 1/2" to 4" thick with some open spots, especially by the end where the boat launch is on the north shore. With these temps I think it'll be good to go as long as you take great care and spud your way around.

Didn't make it , access roads weren't plowed open, hope the snow doesn't mess it up to bad, time will tell.

Went out fishing on Gouldsboro yesterday from 630am to 130pm... Was fishing the right side of the lake were much of the snow was blown off.. Ice was good, 2 inch of white and 4 inch of solid black on bottom, 6 inches total... Maybe 4-5 inches where there is 5 inches of snow..

Was awesome to be out! Weather was great, 12 degrees and sunny and not much wind... We had 15 tip ups up, got about 40 flags, 5 keeper bass and about 20 pickerel, only 4 being keepers... One I got was a 22 1/2 inche long pickerel... (Will post pics later) Rest of the flags were missed... Overall great to be out... Glad I made it before another warm up... Looked like ppl fished Sunday in the middle of the lake... But I know for sure the right side is safe... 6 inch of ice

get out tomorrow before the warm up this weekend!

We did pretty good, had around 20 flags, caught 2 keeper pics 1@ 25 inches. Pans started hitting hour or two before dark. I sent you a message check your inbox.
