Just looked at the long range for hear in Central PA. Looks if we make through the next day and 1/2 it will be back to firming things up. With the run off maybe it will liven the bite up a little. Tight lines and bent spring bobbers everyone. Hope to be on Holman FRI.

I typically skip any trout opener and head out with the boat for crappies and perch. No crowds, better tasting, more fun to catch, I could go on and on. I have caught more trout by accident than I will ever hope to catch on purpose. Just my opinion... have a great day and keep pulling them through the ice.

From what I've seen there is still a pretty good base out there to build on. With cold temps coming next week I think we are in good shape. Hope to be out Sunday. See you out there!

Honestly here in the south east It is looking pretty grim.I was on Hopewell on Monday & that was deteriorating quickly. I wouldn't be surprised if there was open water in the middle by now.I rode past Ontelaunni today along rt 73 & that ice really looked gray . I hope with the cold weather coming. It will re freeze what we have left & give us a few weeks of fishing yet. I can't even imagine what Marsh creek looks like after yesterday days 65% & today's warm 35 mph plus wind.

I am not gloom .I look at on the brite side I will soon be out in my boat slaying the crappies.

I love ice fishing but all good things come to an end. Hey compared to last year {5 days} we had a good month of ice. & if it comes back I will still go.If not I will still be fishing

leaving bald eagle state park(sayers dam) today beadhead and i saw about 20 or so robins

the end is getting closer

on a good note that means its getting closer to get out the fly rod

and use all those flies i tied all winter when i wasn't on the ice
