Propane augers
« on: Dec 26, 2014, 08:26 AM »
I just got a new Propane auger for CHristmas. Any one also have one? Any problems with yours? I would assume this would still be outlawed on no motorized lakes...?

Thanks for any feed back. Be safe and catch lots of fish.

If you go to the equipment section then augers you will find a lot of people have propane. What model did you get?

got the 8" Jiffy Pro 4 lite last year.  Love it.  Starts with 1 pull every time, eats ice in a hurry, no gas to mess with, and I think 1 tank lasted me all year.

Heavy pig!  I have a Pro 4 10".  38 lbs if I remember correctly.  I would not trade it for any other auger out there.  If I need light I go with my hand auger & cordless drill.

According to jiffy's site 26-28 lbs for the pro 4 lite or 34-36 for the standard pro 4 depending on the drill size

Call Jiffy & get a new regulator.  They are being really good about warranty on these.   Even replaced mine which was way past warranty,
