Not gonna do it. Too hard on machines and my truck. When stuff starts going bad at that temp, it goes real bad.

Not me, all I have to say is buddy heaters suck. Mine blew up in my face. Unless your in a shack your going to kill all lakers you bring out of the water in that kind of weather.

I cant go till the 22nd. I dont mind snow or if it is as cold as -20 but if it is colder I my not go. I dont want to get stuck on the other side of the lakes on the Arctic Craper.

It did warm up a little. When I got there Sat. am it was somewhere around 39 below. I guess it warmed up to 12 below that evening. I could defiantly feel it warming up through the day. When I woke up Sun. it was down right balmy around 0 or so.

Fishin was ok. I caught another freak fish and a 12 inch burbot out of Pats shack, hands down the smallest burbot I've ever caught up there. Thats all that I can remember.

You just can't handle getting skunked while I catch a fish or 3.

I second that. Most novice lake trout fisherman will spend a couple weekends to get a lake trout on the line. Some people that have the secret weapon get 3+ lake trout per day. Once you have fished an area and caught a few lake trout, move on. You might be fishing in the same spot a long time before you catch another.

I still can't figure out why I spend so much money to go up there and not catch any fish. I didn't run into any overflow and the ice was pretty quiet so maybe the old stuff is froze. This little warm up will sure mess things up.

I understand why I spend so much time to catch one big fish a year. My wife on the other hand gets a little upset when i come homewith nothing but photos of the sun set and the fish that i let go.
