Lake Onalaska - La Crosse, WI Backwater Perch

My buddies and I made our 2nd annual trip to Onalaska to chase ringtail perch - we did pretty well again with 100+ fish with most averaging 11-13"...biggest was pushing 14

Onalaksa sunrises never disappoint!






















Largest fish on day 1 - 14"er topped it off

Looks like a blast. I headed there last week of February. if I do half as good as that I will be thrilled! Way to go!

I'm a cheesehead by birth but have been out west for 30+.  Without giving up a honey hole...That's gotta be a backwater or slough area off the Mississippi correct?  Gawd I miss Ice Fishing in WI!

Hey, awesome perch! My girlfriends and I are up on Onalaska this weekend actually! Any hints you could give us for the big perch?   :P
