ive had the 241 reels..line gets tangled behind the reel spool and drags suck.rods are alright.

Would you say it would be worth spending $20 on and replacing the reels?

its nothing special really.. if the reel cooperates its worth it I guess but wouldn't spend 20 on just the rod.jmo.theres a reason why frabill is selling them so cheap I'm thinking.my reel sits in a pile of junk reels because it sucked taking it  apart on the ice to get the line from behind the spool and the drag was non existent.

The 241 is an OK shallow water panfish reel....it was nice back in the day.....then the Inline reels with a push button drop smoked reels like the 241. I had one used it for a year.....had somehow kept the box.....returned it for the $60 and went to an Inline BB6061. Today I wouldn't want a 241 reel.
