I've fished Mazonia,Shabbona, and Lake Bloomington. I'm looking for more choices though.

Axehead and beleu are iced over,  Probably only an inch or two.  I am guessing it will be 2 more weeks to we get a good 5 inches on some northern Illinois lakes.
I will update here if I learn anything.    DaFish

I know my favorite lake is iced over and was before we had this snow.  Today the temps are expected to get to 42 which wont help us too much but after that the forcast looks good and no rain!  If I'm lucky I might be able to fish the shallows early next week.  When the ice is thin, 3'' you wont catch me fishing water over my head.  Thats who I fished last year and found some amazing numbrs of good perch and was able to fish that pattern all year with good success.
