homemade shiner traps

want to do some trapping but don't want to buy a trap was wondering what people used to make there own traps

thanxs im gona try a couple of those and if they work in the pond im gonna try to make a bigger one from chicken wire

ive also found that dog food works well for bait.

A funnel and zip ties, drilled 8 holes in the top and it took about ten min.

Really? There is a trap door cut in to the flat bottom held together with the caribeaner!

Nice looking trap! Can't tell in your pic but it appears too large to use in CT... Max size in both marine and inland water is 20" long by 15" in diameter.

I have done the research, i have been trapping and jigging goldies for a long time. What is missing is the cone extension the actual funnel piece that i took out to cut to the right size.
