Post by: Hardwater307 on Feb 18, 2017, 05:42 PM
I was wondering if anyone has ever fished elkhead reservoir in craig co? I have herd that they have a variety of fish and some good pike and smallmouth fishing. I dont think the ice is on it anymore so i was thinking about making a trip when the ice comes off.

I saw a report on "fish exploiter" about a guy fishing Elkhead. Ice is good just some methane pockets making holes here and there. I have not fished it but was thinking of making the trek from Denver.

It's a fun lake to fish. We always targeted pike out of the boat, but in doing so caught smallies, largies and if that was slow caught some nice crappies and blue gills.
