If you are talking about Perch In NW Iowa.....there isn't much for consistency in any of the lakes around besides the IGL.....sure a few places/lakes/sloughs have perch in them a few have a few decent sized ones, but your not going to go and pull a limit of nice ones out.

Simply just look at the fish survey reports by the Iowa DNR....

Have you done any open water fishing in that area? Thinking about a trip up to that area next spring.

Yeah I've gone to waubay open water fished and did fairly well on walleye.....the white bass were pretty bad and we were catching quite a few of them. Big cranks like reef runners and strike kings worked well.

I started a new thread for the two areas.
Every plastics manufacturer claims plastics outfish livebait. So now I use livebait just for the increased challenge.
