That whole lake is pretty well unfished this year in comparison to the last 2 years. 35fow has been A pretty good number lately cant say the fishing been real fantastic maybe adequate but you can still find A limit with some work.

There have been alot of perch this year only probably is 1 in every so many will b almost a keeper but otherwise they are dinks. Gotta keep them to since they come out of deep water they dont handle it very well at all.

I haven't caught a perch smaller than 9 inches this year.

I'd rather catch dink perch than dink gills/crappies.

These all came out of the same hole this year. That was it tho. No crappie or bluegill.

Anyone brave the wind today? Decided to save it for tomorrow, didn't catch nothing on my couch. Been a boring day. I'm ready for the am.

Redshack, was rather slow and gale force winds. Didn't stay out long. Got those three perch while I was out there though, that was kinda fun!

Sorry for the late update on how we did. We started out west of the north ramp in our usual location amd didn't even get a bite. When I put the camera down I found out why. A musky was lurking on our area. We did also see a northern and a perch. W moved around noon to a location over the creek channel an immediately seen fish on the camera, crappies and gills. We did get 4 crappies and 3 gills but that was all that we got whe we left around 4. It was beautiful out there as it was 54 degrees according to the truck. There was a lot of water on he thrice go go into the hole which clouded the water up quickly so don't know if that had something to do with the bite being slow. We also did see another musky in this location as well so he probably scared off a bunch of the fish. Most of these fish were in 24 feet of water and about 1 foot off the bottom.

Wish they would have bit better with it being as nice of a day as it was.

Headed up tomorrow. Anyone have any hints? Planning on hitting a bend in the channel over deeper water. Also I'm assuming the ice is OK to drive staying out of the trees?

I was on a bus and just happened to be sitting on a news paper. This guy came up and asked. "Are you reading that ?"
I said  yes, stood up, turned the page and sat back down.

I never got into anymore perch lol. Weather probably had took some part in that. Try somewhere around 20-25 foot. That's what I've been hearing.

I went out last night for A bit, the ice was 15" here and 20" there so it varies A bit but nothing less than 15" anywhere I drilled.

Well, we fished from 5-1:30 yesterday and only had a total of 3 fish come topside. One was an about 13 inch perch but that was the only thing keeper sized. Probably drilled 200-250 holes all up and down the east side of the lake and could not buy a bite. Will say this though, the ice is plenty thick lol. Anywho, slow fishing is an understatement.

Dude you have no idea lol. My arms felt like jello when we left. And that was even using the new Honda four stroke from strikemaster. I could not imagine what it would have been like with my old 2 stroke as its about 8 lbs heavier.

Either Brushy is on fire or the dead sea cause NOBODY has been reporting much from there.  Trying to decide where to go this weekend any suggestions?

It was a tough bite for me Saturday.  Drilled probably 35-40 holes and all I was able to pull up was a 13" crappie.  I could find fish here and there, but they weren't hungry for what I had.

I was there on Sunday from 6am to noon and caught a ton of 8" gills and kept 5- 9" gills and 2-12" crappies and a perch. Between my brother and I, we could have kept both our limits of gills but I'm pretty picky about what I keep. Woulda stayed later but I had my little girl at home I wanted to spend time with in the afternoon.
