Clam plate with gear drive
« on: Jan 13, 2021, 02:18 PM »
I just put a clam plate with gear drive together with an 8 inch Mora Strike Master Hand auger.  I was thinking of adding an extension but all the Strike Master extensions say they are for POWER augers, so I was wondering if it would work for my application and set-up.  What say you?

Should add your location to your profile COUNTY and STATE ...could be a local retailer with the extension you need get you up and running faster . This is a site sponsor with what you need

You would probably need another adapter to connect the gas extension to the clam plate. Also, the gas extension is significantly heavier than say the clam extension. Which is light weight and made for your exact situation. Cheaper too. If you want the gas extension because it looks better, just spray paint the clam extension.

Could go this route ..still pricey ..but in black
