Indiana boy looking to road trip the 22nd weekend

Hey guys any good lakes with good ice I could come fish the weekend of the 22nd

Looking for crappie perch and walleye.  Any advice would be great.    Not looking to take someone's spot just looking for a direction to head

Depends on how far you want to drive, the Castle Rock and Petenwell lakes can be good. Not sure how much ice there will be on the Madison area lakes

It all depends how far you want to drive? Anywhere north of about highway 8 should have at least 8" or more by the 22nd. I wouldn't doubt trucks driving out on some lakes here by Christmas. nw WI.

As long as I get on a good bite of perch or walleyes I'm there lol.    No safe ice here in Indiana yet I wouldn't doubt that we won't have safe ice till after the first of the year

check with ob outdoors. u tube facebook . last week some ice in bays on bego .And poygen was kicking eyes ,white bass . bego chain has ice need to know the lake

8 hour drive for me but I'm going to be on Bago Jan 25-29th.  Let me know what you find.  If I find active fish I'll get ahold of you.

Yeah coming next weekend I'm headed to northernish Wisconsin to shawano and bago.   Might get a guide for a half day since I 1. Don't know the lake 2. Never fished Wisconsin and 3. Would be a first for me lol.   I usually try n do it all in my own but with that big of a lake I might as well get some experience and make the trip worth it

reports I've seen show that Bago really took it on the chin lately with the wind, rain, and temps.
I'd call some bait shops before leaving.

Yeah I seen in the news that bago got hit hard n lost alot of ice  I'll be headed further north to smaller lakes most likely.   But will still be calling ahead of time.   I'll be headed up there early Friday morning
